Sous Vide Chicken Breast

This chicken breast is super easy to make, and is delicious! It is a great dish for parties, because you can really cook it as long as you’d like, so it makes it much easier to time things if you need the food ready at a certain time. The only real equipment you need for this recipe is a Sous Vide Machine, which can be somewhat expensive. The one I have is called a Joule, and it costs about $250. If you want to make things even easier, you can buy Sous Vide bags and a vacuum sealer, but these definitely aren’t required, I don’t have either of these but it still turned out great. Feel free to use a pot instead of the plastic tub I have, and Ziploc bags instead of the Sous Vide ones.

I made a short video about these recipe you can find here: (https://www.tiktok.com/@mrsousvide/video/7187635667902565678). I am still new to filming these, so you can expect higher quality videos in the future haha!

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Olive Oil

2 Tbsp Thyme

4 Cloves Minced Garlic

2 Lbs Chicken Breast

1. Begin by adding about half a cup of olive oil to a measuring cup. Mix this with 2 tablespoons of thyme, and 4 cloves of minced garlic.

2. Next, mix the chicken and marinade together inside of either your Sous Vide bags or a Ziploc bag. If you have a pump or vacuum sealer, you can remove all of the air, otherwise, you can just try with your hands to press out as much air as you can.

3. Place your bag in 145°F water for at least 2.5 hours, and up to about 4. At this point, you can take it out when you are almost ready to eat!

4. Give your chicken a quick sear in a cast iron pan, and enjoy!
